Counseling

At Lighthouse Therapy Services, counseling is designed to guide children, teens, and families through life’s challenges. Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where young people can express themselves, build resilience, and develop the tools they need to thrive at home, at school, and in the community.

More Information

Counseling for children (ages 5–12) provides a safe and supportive space for younger clients to share feelings, experiences, and challenges in ways that feel natural for them. Because children often communicate more through behavior and creativity than words, counseling helps them explore emotions, develop coping strategies, strengthen social skills, and build self-confidence.

Counseling for adolescents and young adults (ages 13–21) focuses on the unique needs of teens as they navigate identity, relationships, stress, and the transition toward independence. Sessions provide a confidential and supportive environment where adolescents can express themselves, gain insight, and learn healthy ways to manage life’s challenges.

Caregiver involvement is an important part of the counseling process. Parents and guardians are offered guidance and strategies to support their child or teen at home, reinforce coping skills, and create an environment that encourages growth and resilience beyond the counseling session.
